Eric Phinney is an accomplished percussionist with interests in many diverse musical traditions.  As a founding member of Ethos Percussion Group, he has performed at major venues around the world including Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, and with other classical ensembles such as the New York Philharmonic and New World Symphony.  Eric has studied music traditions from around the world with master musicians such as Bernard Woma, Emmanuel Agbeli and Pandit Samir Chatterjee, sharing his love of world music and percussion with thousands of children as a teaching artist with Young Audiences, NY for over twenty years. He is a graduate of Manhattan School of Music with a Master of Music degree in percussion performance, and is a faculty member at Bloomingdale School of Music.
